Just watched the biggest spike I've ever seen and a little spike walk through the field about 100 yards away.

Just got set up. Hunting over beans tonight thinking might get some action with cold coming in. Have a creek and corn field behind me so we'll see. Bumped 2 doe on way in tho. But its still early. [IMG][IMG]

In new tree, spent 30 min clearing briars and vines but I got a nice spot. Once the leaves die I’ll have more lanes to shoot. I have good access through the creek bed, what could go wrong?
Light sprinkle started, I have a good canopy over me, if it stays like this I see no reason to leave.

Just had four doe come through creek behind me. Had a shot at smaller one bit it was at bad angle quartered away. Bigger one never gave a shot unless through some small branches. Now 2 of them are out in beans about 60 yards out.

Well crap. Something spooked all but 2 of them out of beans. Luckily it was the two bigger doe. Then they worked back aroind field edge and if woulda took about 2 more steps had 25 yard shot. They hung up tho and turned and ran back. So idk what happened, never looked my way so idk if wind swirled and they got a whiff of me or what happened. Still got while tho so see what happens.

Still something messing around in creek tho too.

Well just had someone crank off 3 shotgun rounds at the geese down in the valley. That will probably be the end of my prime time
