I’ll be scouting a new tree tomorrow afternoon/evening, if all goes right, I’ll be right in the middle of the hot spot I’ve watched a lot of deer pass through and feed. Wind dependent of course.

I had a pretty good night, not as good as Holt.

I saw my first legal buck a little basket rack 8 pt- 9 or 10 inch spread.
He came by at 28 yards. Behind me.

Then I saw a Fisher. A cool encounter

    Up and ready to go.

The front is coming in and the rain is supposed to start around 10:00.

What a nice morning it's starting out to be. It's 53, slight east breeze and I'm in an oak flat I haven't scouted but terrain wise I'm in a pinch against a fence. If oaks are dropping at all, it will be an added benefit. Walking in, the leaves look all churned up. Bear is also in the area and it's open. Looking for a great morning. Good luck this morning, enjoy the alone time and shoot a monster!

I've seen two so far. One was a good buck that came into the woods north of me and then went east to the pond.

Not sure where he is now.

Great week of hunting with my son. Only saw deer one sit, but he got several shots attempts :)
Best thing was being with my Grandfather. He couldn't get out this week, though he hopes to next week. He is 89, and having some health issues. See his pic attached. He passed on a heritage of hunting and faith. 20191009_090339.jpg 20191009_090424.jpg

That’s awesome I love hunting with my grandfather. He’s my hunting mentor and also passed on faith and hunting I try spend as much time with him as possible. A wealth of knowledge that’s for sure.

I'm still such a little kid...I'm speechlessly excited to be in a tree tomorrow morning back home. My flight gets in tonight at 8 and it sounds like I'm hitting a little cold front up there. I just can't wait.

I've been down for a while. Radar showed the big front coming in so I got down and drove around to hang another stand in a better place for the NW wind tomorrow and got out before the fields got muddy.

    Just in time.

    Holt,
Super exciting sit for sure! I know you didn’t score last night but it is just a matter of time. It sounds like you are “in the deer”. Good luck and we are all on the edge of our seat as we follow you through this journey! Get em’
