Almost all predatory animals have eyes in the front of their heads rather than sides like a herbivore. More than once I've picked an owl out of a tree just b/c of its eyes.

I went, I saw, I’m home, great sit, saw lots of deer. Had 4 doe in the beans as I was climbing, luckily they were far enough away I could shimmy up without spooking. Saw what I thought was the deer I’ve been calling 12-pack, ended up being another big bodied buck with a funky left side. Never got under 80 yards. I think I counted 12 deer total, almost let an arrow fly on a doe until I saw the two 3” spikes on his head...glad I held for a better look.
Overall, it was a success, I like seeing deer even if I don’t get a shot. I may have finally figured out their funnel, they like to use both ends of the field to enter, usually I’m on the wrong end. So, Friday I’ll be out early picking a new tree in middle where I can get a shot on their feeding path.
I don’t want to share, but this is the buck I’m calling 12-pack, I was going to check cameras for more pics, but with it being dark and so much movement I didn’t want to bump anything. I’ll check Friday before I climb. No daylight pics and very few pics in general, but fingers are crossed.

I’m not quite sure how it happened either! One day my wife swelled up like a tick, the next saw poof she was normal and there was a baby sleeping next to our bed. But the crazy thing is it happened not once but twice! I need to lay off the Busch Light...

Entry was sloppy the tree I typically use broke in half. Just waiting on the sun to see how my surroundings look. I may kill a doe if presented the opportunity

So went to get up and.... Nope. Too many hours of sitting. Good thing the wind direction still sucks, because the temps are great. I'm glad I didn't get cards back in cams last night. I have a feeling Id be very ticked..lol
Time to get the saddle out. Hot soak and a 11-2 or 3 hunt.

I posted my my recap above. Ended up seeing a bunch of does, no bucks. Had a doe come in at last light and just stand there. I had to wait her out in the dark. Ended up running into her anyway on the walk out.
