Ok it's Monday and I'm in the stand! Don't know how much I can update as signal is really spotty here. Good luck to everyone out this morning. Be safe.

Good luck to everyone out. Wish I could be in the tree but it’s back to the heat plant.

I'm here 20 feet up for the first time. It's raining. Hard to type with a wet screen. I'll try later after rain pushes thru

Raining cats & dogs out there. If it were deer I'd think about it but I'll be showered and ready to go the second it stops. Radar doesn't look good. Station says 12.00pm

Rake a trail in. If they are there it may be worth the effort.

Let's try this again, rain has slowed. Nothing yet. 51 degrees wind out of the saw. Perfect for this sit.

Til now I have does down wind gotta go

I'm back, 2 fawns where is momma. To small 25 yards. They hung around a couple of minutes.

    Live from my brain.....

I'm considering on cutting the cord of attachment and saying Eff it to the sentimental value I have on the spot where I hunt for next season and future seasons. I put in so many hours on the stand, drive time (1 hour each way), and spend quite a bit of money on gas and tags, to only have one or two deer sightings. It doesn't make sense anymore. I'm debating on trading a season's worth of this BS for only hunting 5-7 days in a row out at the DIY outfitter in Illinois I used to go to. Where I know I have better odds at a great buck in one sit than all of my sits for the season in CT combined.
The only reason why I'm leaning towards the DIY outfitter is because they have everything at the camp, walk in coolers/freezers, processing stations. as oppposed to going somewhere on my own where I won't have access to any of those amenities. IDK, something to think about.

Sorry, good luck this morning everyone!!

Ok LFTS folks...I am finally in a tree for my first hunt of the year. It feels great to be back. I am hunting a public piece of land that I have never hunted before. Tons of acorns in here. Over the last 2 days the temperature has dropped over 20 degrees. Nice brisk morning here in Arkansas. If it’s brown, it’s down. Let’s see what happens. Good luck to all who are out.

Do what makes you happy, and what your wife will allow, brother! Life is short! You still have an open invite here to Indiana

A beautiful sit so far, it doesn't matter that it rained on me for the first hour I was in a tree or that I have only seen 2 fawns. This is my first sit of the new season and I've waited for this since 11/10/18 when I killed my buck last year.

    It's a cool morning of 52 / 53 degrees a slight wind out of the ssw .

NOW I WANT TO KILL A DEER
