    Waiting for some rain to let up looks like 15 minutes. Short hike. 2 hrs to dawn.

    Made a last minute change to sit over food v bedding due to this front over us at present. Thinking they may be up eating and moving with this chilly 64 degrees. :eyeroll:

    We have a total mast failure down here just like we do about Quantico. So I situated myself between 2 grass fields that are like 300 yd away from where I think this buck is betting. That buck bed is right between both of those grassfield's. Here is to hoping hes feeding on that and with the colder temperatures he is gonna come back to bed a little bit later.

    Slept so hard when my alarm went off I had to turn my iPhone light on 1to figure out where the hell I was.
    Really wanted to go back to sleep but remembered "can't kill them from bed, but you can sleep from the stand."

    Coffee brewing, breakfast bar ready, 25 minute walk to stand.

    i finally gather up stuff from last year. couldn't find my bow! it ended up being buried in the closet. this house build has everything out of place. screw prepping, i'm going to kill! i'll be sitting on an oak flat butted up to mountain laurel. i'm by the only oak tree bombing acorns and it's tore up. should be a good morning. i only have an hour or so of daylight to hunt then off to soccer. good luck to all!
