    In the stand finally. Freaking disaster getting this ladder stand up by myself. Dropped it 3x, its tall and really top heavy.

    But locked in at a new spot. Good old and new rubs. This was more for my uncle later in the month than me now but since i hung it I'll sit it tonight.

    One of those gloomy days where it's like dusk all afternoon and your eyes have a hard time adjusting in the woods. My ears gonna habe ro do the work.

    I'm back on stand but in a new tree.

    This morning I was hunting over my small plot on the east edge of my property.

    Based on the movement patterns I observed last year I moved to the very west edge of my property for the pm sit.

    If that buck crosses my property this evening he will come from the west.

    That's my theory anyway. We will see. Oh, and if a big doe walks by well....:bow:

    Wasn't set up but a few minutes and had several nice turkeys within 15 yards of me.

    It was mid 90s today but a small thunderstorm is brewing in the distance making for some nice cloud cover and rolling thunder. I'm at peace in the stand right now!

    First seer of the season came in. Little fork horn withing 10-15 yards of tree making rubs kinda as he came in. Went right over where i came in and never spooked. Even looked up right at me few times. Chalking that up to young and dumb over my hunting skill tho ha. Hopefully the bigger ones sent in little brother to check it out first.
