Our beans are turning here.Deer are primarily on acorns here now. I'm set up between beans and a hardwood hillside. Mom and the kid are vacuuming up acorns at 30 yards.

Okay, this is ridiculous. Got back to my hotel room for a break before heading back to work tonight and I have a bunch of does hanging out at my watering hole. They all look so smug, prancing around and taunting me. while all I can do is stare at them through the glass... I hope they get run over.

I had really been hoping to see deer today, but not like this.

Saw a couple of fawns moving about mid day. Hoping to see some more movement here tonight. All in all just glad to be back in the woods.

Well my night hunt has ended early. It has been a strange adventure thus far. Hunting pa public land as we speak. As I pulled into the parking area, I saw a truck and a car parked already. Got out and stripped down to my underwear when I then felt like I was being watched. Turns out the truck was not empty and an older couple (probably mid 40’s) are getting it on at 3 pm lol. I then go on my marry way cuz hey I’m not one to judge, as I’m walking in I find the other person that was parked in the lot sitting on the ground 80 yds away from my stand with no cover at all. I was not going to let that deter me cuz the deer to my knowledge don’t travel his direction at all so I climbed into my stand. As I pull my bow up, I hear a clink sound and notice that my release pulled through the leather strap . I’m sticking it out cuz 1) my buddy is up over the hillside from me and 2) I do NOT want to interrupt those 2 love birds again lol

Last year I hunted w/ a guide who put in a set next to a fence. He left and 8 cows proceeded to arrive just across the fence to find out what the noise was. They hung around under me for a while before they decided to move on.

In the stand an hour late. Better late than never. Today reminds me of a late October day. Cloudy. 40 degrees. Slight breeze. Only difference is there are leaves on the trees and crops still in the fields.

2 does and 2 fawns just came out into the beans. 60 yards broadside not alert. Too far for me to comfortably shoot.

Oh my goodness I cannot make this stuff up. A pair of hunters literally pulled off the side of the road and I’m pretty sure they shot a deer. This is hysterical, this little patch of woods is totally surrounded by highway and the deer have nowhere to go

This cold weather has deer moving. Up to 10 deer so far. All does and fawns and way off. No shot opportunities.
