    Season opened yesterday here. Wasn’t gonna make it out till this weekend, but ended up with the day off so decided to make a morning hunt/scouting trip. Have at least 5 birds gobbling in different directions. Hunting a different area of public I have hunted before, lots of turkey sign in the field I’m in so hopefully I picked the right spot and get it done early. Then try and get my buddy and his daughter on a bird this weekend. They will be running shot guns so maybe a little easier...

    Gotta love having to break out the cold weather gear for SPRING turkey hunting... 30 degrees this morning... only in Iowa can you go from running the ac to the heater in the span of 12 hours...

    It’s been over a decade. With only 10 minutes left in my two day hunt this guy came to my decoy.
    Next year it’s going to be from a ground blind with my bow.
