    moved a stand to behind the house on Sat. 60yds from feeder, 20 plus deer filed thru, only 2 deer offered a close shot, 1 little button buck we named "Freeloader" and a small doe who went out of her way to find me, almost shot her for stomping at me. IMG_2443.JPG IMG_2476.JPG

    hunting out of frustration, these fat old Does are kicking my butt. still have time. got pictures of more kids running around last week, deer are still on edge, they should calm down by the weekend. and it will be warmer..

    Had a dream last night that I got a doe...then it occurs to me season is over. I was in a panic when I woke. Horrible dream for tons of reasons, but crazy all the same.

    I'm back at it again guys! Back at the same public land as last week. Gut up in tree about 3 and had a buck parade come by about 30 minutes later. 2 shooters in the group. Then had 4 does come over. All in shooting range, but just to thick. Watched bucks for 30 minutes or so on the next ridge over before they went over top. So far a great night!

    We can't cut trees here. I keep bouncing from tree to tree and keep picking the wrong one. Every deer walked about 10 yards from the tree I hunted last week!

    Ended up seeing 2 more does right around dark. Now that was 4 sits on that marsh and I had 2 encounters with the same buck from the same bedding area. I just might have a shot at him, if I can pic the right trail! Going to sit in between them next time, I can shoot to both trails.

    Season starts Oct 1st here, November is the "prime time".

    I'm becoming lazy actually, 6 years ago I was hunting Oct 1st into January, past few years its been late October to mid November and lately first 2 weeks of November.

    I've been posessed with big buck mentality, which is really rut hunting because I suck.
