    I'm back on stand! Snowed all day yesterday, so it's great to hunt in the snow. Back on public again. Found ton of tracks and followed back about 1/2 mile into a marsh, tracks everywhere! Could have shots to either side of me. Any deer tonight.

    Oh it's great! But can be a long grind if your not in the deer! MD definitely gives you plenty of opportunities to get a deer

    Now that I am living down in Richmond I might try to start hunting northern NC in September. Even if I get in only a half dozen buck hunts in September it would be worth it. Seriously considering scouting some spots on the southern sides of Lake Kerr and Lake Gaston. Maybe if some NC or southern VA hunters on here would help scout NC it may make it even more worth it. Share our scouting info to give us a lot of options.

    Got 6 does feeding high on a ridge above me about 100 yards. Looks like they want to come down to this marsh I'm in, we'll see!

    Just had 5 - 6 bucks come in to about 45 yards. They were hitting a scrape line that I didn't see. One was a big 8 pt and keep chasing the smaller bucks off the scrapes. I do have a massive scrape at 20 yards, but not one of them came down to it.

    Another 4 does just came in, that's 16 deer so far. Took a shot at the big girl and clipped a limb. Completely misses over her back.

    I can't see my arrow, it's down in the marsh. It's to thick and the snow going to make it hard to find. I can hear more deer coming thru the marsh, just to thick to see.

    Lol i had a while contemplating the shot but i achord good bent at the waste and slipped the ole muzzy trocar hb right beside the spine and she was dead b4 i got another arrow
