    On the ground today, grabbed my trail camera card and had deer come by at this time yesterday. We will see what happens

    Well this is it my last sit in Iowa. I have standing beans in front of me and turnips to my right. It is very warm though so I'll need some luck tonight.

    Last 10 minutes a nice buck came into the turnips. Was thinking finally after 9 nights and he only had 1 side...WTF

    A conversation my wife had this morning with my 3-year-old.

    Son: Where's Daddy?
    Wife: He's working
    Son: No, Daddy is hunting. He is going to find a deer and fight it. Then chase it with his Jeep. Then it die and stick it's tongue out."

    Glad to know my child thinks I'm out battling deer gladiator style.

    Just got on stand to be greeted with 4 bald eagles flying around. Pretty cool. First sunny day we've had in about a month so hopefully it gets the deer moving.

    Its days like this when the woods are covered in a fresh snow, the temps are rising and the sun is out that seeing a deer is just a bonus. Especially after being cooped up in the house the last couple of days.
