is that a yote or a fox?
We have some very blonde yotes around my house, but most of them are sable like a german shepherd. About as big as them, also.

A yote. Female probably 35 - 40 lbs, a big girl. I picked it up to see how much it weighed.

Back on stand for the pm shift! It rained hard for the last 2 days, now sun is out and 62 degrees. Weird hunting with just 1 shirt on again. I'm back in this marsh were I saw that big buck about a month ago.

had a few blondies that were hanging around my neighborhood a lot last year. They were huge. About the same size as my doodle so probably 50#. Would have made gorgeous coats.

I think enough people called animal control they must've gotten trapped; haven't seen any in about 6 months.

Yeah if that was my yote, I would have tubed skin it, tanned and hung on the wall at least. Was a nice looking coat.

Had three does, forkie, a nice 120" 8 and that thick 11 in front of me the last half hour. It's getting harder to pass that guy up.

Doubt I'll do a morning hunt tomorrow but I'll be in stand in the afternoon. No idea what to expect but anything fuzzy is in trouble.

Had a 20yd shot at a big doe. Hit her high right across the back. She ran 30 yards or so and stood there for about 15 minutes trying to figure out what happened. The whole time licking her back. She turned a few times and I could not see any blood. After she walked away, l climbed down and checked my arrow. Had a little fat and hair on it. No blood. What is opinion? She will survive?

That is twice now I have missed high. First time was on a nice 8 pt. He was around 30yds and completely missed over him. Cannot figure out why.

I would say the doe will live. Missing high could be a lot of things. Any problems while practicing? How high is your stand? Sure of range?
