Thank ya sir. The good thing is the property is about 380 acres and 150 of it is all sanctuary. I usually see giants because of this but this year has been different for some reason. Have already caught one trespasser this year though so who knows.

Whole family and myself have had a nasty stomach bug since Monday but we think we are bout over it. Looking forward to getting back in the stand. I have no fence line drama. No worries about neighbors. Just me tryna kill a deer peacefully. Ahhh

Still hoping to be out Friday morning, wind is still the determining factor. Supposed to gust to almost 30 overnight and no real let up Friday.

Have the work Christmas party tomorrow, will decide after whether to head out Friday morning.

Monday is the best day for weather(wind) right now, I can hunt 10 of the next 13 mornings.

I have a dentist appointment January 11th. Not afraid of going with a bit of blood on the hands if need be.

Finally getting out! First hunt in almost a month! Had work that had to get done before Christmas and it's done, so back to hunting. I'm heading to my buck nest that I hunted about a month ago. Going to be about a hour before I get there, will update once I'm setup.

Nothing for me, didn't even see a deer. Had one walk by in the dark, but couldn't see what it was. Found this on the walk out, all most looks like it got hit by a car.[IMG]

Not sure on the car part Holt, at least if I was the one that hit it with a car there would be tire tracks on that SOB repeatedly. :lmao2:

Just found out from a buddy that it was shot during rifle season. Funny how it laying there for over a week and a half and nothing has touched it!

No kidding!! I shot one in early archery season and that thing didn't make it a week. I think his friends had him for lunch.

Is there a late muzzleloader season in your area? Do you feel there is enough food source with those beans to keep him on the property? I know a buck like that for me this late in the season, as tough of a season that I've had, would have been hard to pass up. It's hard where I live in East Tx, because if there is a legal buck around one of the neighboring properties will more than like shoot it, but we are also at the point if they have made it this far in the season, they have a real good shot of making it for next season due to the lack of hunters still hunting if he decides to stick around.

Sitting tomorrow out. When overnight winds are supposed to be stronger than daytime winds, it's never a good thing.

I want one more deer and want to make my next sit the one it happens. I have the next 5 days off, work 2 days and then the following 5 days off. Monday is the best wind, but not sure I will wait that long.
