Have to take my daughter to school in the morning so I wont get in a morning sit. I'll be out afternoon tho. Moving my set again to a different area that I've left alone so far. Does are officially in trouble since I need some meat!

ended up seeing 3 does. I think they were all fawns. they came out of the golden rod field someplace. thought I would be seeing more coming from the woods. this is good scouting for late archery season. be back at it tomorrow afternoon.

Work is getting in the way of my hunting. I don't think I'll get much time off before I leave for Iowa. Throw family obligations and Christmas I believe the next time I get to update in here will be me trying for my first birthday buck during Iowa muzzleloader.

Central MI. Probably using my .44; my contest here is full up and pistol hunting is its own challenge. Going to be creeping through CRP-type bedding areas and doing some wind bump tactics with my cousin.

another example of how APRs can be overly restrictive. That's a deer anyone could be proud of and in some areas wouldn't meet APR regs

If we played that any weekend morning between Oct. 27-Nov 17 we would have to create a new thread called "Barely Alive from the Bottom of the Stand" and merge it with OnX so people had coordinates to send to the EMS.

I'm more confident with my bow than with the .44, but that sounds different for sure and a blast if you can find some action. Good luck!

all things equal so am I, but this is thick stuff where the lanes are tiny and I will be very lucky to see them before they see me. Going to be bang-bang, no pun intended.

Heading out around noon. Went out yesterday afternoon and put up a stand in a spot I rarely hunt but I have good pics of my shooter passing through in daylight, pretty sure he beds somewhere close. And the best part!? No more orange army!

Also put a lot of steel in the dirt yesterday, 9 sets with a total of 16 traps. Hopefully I have a bobcat or two, couple coyotes but more than likely the neighbors dogs. If it is the latter i will be driving an hour and a half south to drop them off at the animal shelter.. gotta love those idiots who buy two acres and think they have access to your hard earned 70 acres. I'm not a dog killer but I will sure as hell make it a challenge for a crappy owner to get them back, I'll hit them square in the pocket book.
