    I'm back to work Monday. Only evening hunts if I can slip away from work and weekends that the boys don't have hockey.

    You too FP! It’s been slow for me action-wise but I’m not complaining one bit. Had more than a few cool hunts so far and it ain’t over. I’m in your boat with work though. It’s going to start picking up but I have a 12 day vacay for Christmas!

    All kinds of birds, squirrels, and two rabbits. Heard some chasing off in the distance. Bummer. Doubt I'll brave the 40 mph winds and snow tomorrow. Might be next week before I can get back out.

    Nothing for me and my boy tonight. We heard one gun shot about 500 yards south across the boundary on private land as we were walking out with about 15 Minutes of light left. My son was getting cold and didn’t want to walk out in the dark. But he did great for a seven-year-old. We hunted for almost four hours. Longest sit with him, he is getting better at it.

    Headed back after the ten in the morning. Good chance I’ll shoot any decent 8 too considering gun season is Monday. Hopefully I see something or at least get a show like the last time.

    Already starting off with a boom. Had the idea to let my clothes air out on the back porch overnight. Usually they’re fine because the roof. Not today. Heavy fog brought heavy dew lol currently in the dryer so running a little late. Wind is perfect though!

    note to self DO NOT WAIT SO LONG to ck back in. its been almost 2 weeks since i last checked in on this thread.

    Congrats to all that have killed since then. gun season starts tomorrow. i'll be out with my son, however i will not be able to carry a firearm until Sat.

    i'll be out this coming Saturday trying to get a doe with my bow during gun season. I noticed last night that the deer are starting to group up pretty heavy for winter. seems a little early. might be a really fun late season chris.
