I don't care what my son calls me when I get to see him, but he does call me Popps.

Just had #4 come out of bedding. 35 yards , to far. It was a small spike.

B6D4EBAB-3023-419C-BE90-19FB861D2EB3.jpeg Should have known that full moon would make for a slow morning. Maybe 10-2 will be more interesting. Come on I even wore the lucky flannel!

Well, had nothing better to do and didnt feel like doing more yard work, so I went hunting. Feels kind of cool to be out here with no pressure to punch a tag.
Put out the tarsal glands off my last buck just to see what happens. Wouldn't mind taking a doe to cap off the season, but a 3rd good buck will do.
Going to try this "kill a buck at noon" theory.

Took the morning off (after yesterday's super uninteresting morning) in order to regroup and come up with a plan on where to move. Looks like I'm packing a saw in just in case, but I think a move of about a hundred yards is the winner. Closer to the action from last week and closer to buck bed. I have a plan b if this doesn't pan out.

Good luck everybody who is out!

It finally happened! After 3 years of bow hunting my wife tagged her first buck last night! It is a call that I’ve been waiting a long time for, I could not be more proud of her determination and drive on her quest for her first buck. Now it’s time for some family, football, and a day full of celebration!
