    I'm up! Got about 20 minutes til shooting light. Today is opening day for rifle, but I'm out with the bow. Pushed in directly on top of a buck bed. Climbed high to help with scent. This is so thick, I'm only going to have 10 yard shots, so up close personal. Also when rifle starts, deer seem to hold up in here. I have missed more then 3 bucks in here on opening days past, been proven as a good spot.

    Slow so far, haven't seen a thing. Only heard 2 shots so far way off in the distance. Most action in this spot is around 8:30

    Out in the blind with the old man, he made it in from New Mexico yesterday. He bought him one of those fancy 10 point xbows, he is 74 and used to shoot an old black widow so I guess I won't give him too much grief..

    Well just missed a buck at 10 yards! Came out of bedding area and stopped perfect broadside and I shot right over his back!

    Buck number 2 just came in. Walked across my entry in and walked in circles trying to figure out were I was. He was at 20 yards, but I set a limit of 15 yards or less this morning. He headed into bedding.

    I can't get it done before it is time to hunt this afternoon. I do wish I have had it done but to be honest I simply did not have time this year.
