    Really slowed down for me. Haven’t seen a deer in almost three hours. Giving it til 11 then heading out and to a different property.

    That is a little bigger than the one I almost killed on the 12th. The one I saw was wider but not quite as much mass.

    Sit midday for the next few days if you can. The moon is full tonight and big for the next few days; late morning to early afternoon action should be awesome. Sleep in and skip the early morning hunt unless you have overcast skies all night.

    If I had a plate of general tsos chicken and 40 ounces of coffee I could hunt all day. Alas, I only have 8 ounces of water.

    On to the late season I scheme. Within 1 week 80% of the hunters will not be hunting here anymore. Never killed a December buck. Maybe it is time.....

    Smoking a turkey and sanding drywall. Yeah, bad day to be a lung...

    While out running errands, I stopped by the local chain sporting goods store to look for broadhead bargains...none. But ammo was on sale + 25% BF sale...

    Thought I was going to get it done this morning....just had a feeling. Well, it turns out he came 15 minutes early and it was too dark to take a shot. All I know is he was a bigger buck...I dont think it was the giant I saw October 29. Sat until 11.30. Going back out soon.

    So your own cat bit you? And I suspect that the cat is outside at least some time for them to demand bite confinement?

    I know I would tell them to F. O. on the microchip unless you were required to have it done but didn't.

    Sitting here stuck at work waiting on my long weekend. Make it til 2PM and then im off work and headed to the woods to hopefully knock down a doe right before thanksgiving.

    No, wasn't an aggressive scratch at all. Indoor cat that I let outside for about 15 minutes a few times a week. Went outside and got her to bring back inside. When I opened the door to put her inside, my dog came running and startled the cat. Jumped down and 2 claws got me just below the sternum on upper stomach.

    Since I went in due to a cat scratch it had to be reported to animal control. State law says this

    "If a dog or cat is currently vaccinated for rabies, or under 4 months of age, the pet may be released to an owner for home confinement. Those dogs or cats that are not currently vaccinated and are over 4 months of age must be clinically confined either at the Animal Control Center, or at a licensed veterinary clinic. In either instance the animal must be confined for a period of 10 days beginning with the date of the biting incident."

    They deem a scratch a bite. When i had her spayed and vaccinated it was only a 1 year not 3 year vaccination so it had expired. No vets available to hold her due to holiday boarding influx.
