That's usually what happens. Pretty sure the bucks have all of us scouted out. They know when we ain't there.

Curious to know if there are bite marks on the neck to finish it off or if the cat found it dead?

Congratulations to all you killers over the last few days. I haven’t been able to check in daily. But 50+ pages of messages tells me that quite a few got it done! Let’s keep it up!

Me neither. It was like a lightbulb went off when we remembered the bobcat. Like I said we don’t see a ton of them. Coyotes are really the main predator in our parts and I knew they didn’t do that.

Same here. Going to be nice and cold with some crunchy leaves for the first time. I'm gonna try to use private land pressure to funnel deer to me. At least that is the plan.

Best sit I’ve ever had without killing something. Had a fawn walk around and underneath me for about 30 min. and then I catch a deer about 100 yds away in the trees. Looks like a buck, throw up my bino’s and it’s THE buck I’ve been obsessing over all season. This is 30 min. before sunset so I’m like oh man, it’s on...then I notice he is with a doe. I watched him and the doe mill around within 70-80 yds, with a lot of thick trees between myself and and them. I grunted and even snort weezed a couple of times but he wasn’t leaving that doe for anything!

While I’m focused on them, 2 other nice young bucks come by at 15 yds, could’ve shot them both. It was cool watching the big boy basically play body guard with the doe, running the other bucks off numerous times. The doe just never came my way unfortunately. By the time he walked thru one of my shooting lanes at 30 yds, it was so dark I couldn’t see my pins thru my peep sight. Had to wait till dark thirty to sneak down.

So close, yet so far! But still a great night and I know where I’m gonna be in the morning!

Live from my room. Got grounded of every item in my possession and I’m not certain as to why. It was too much work to physically remove my computer so here I am.
