I've got a spot like that, there is a log in this thicket about 40 yards away and it looks like a bedded deer. I've been hunting this spot for two years and it still gets my attention every stinking time!

Went looking for a tanning/taxidermy area but doesn't look like we have one. :throw: Anyone want to start a petition to get one. :woot: Would be cool too see how some get the job done and also to see the mounts we get back year to year.

I spoke to soon, sounds like my neighbor has a bump stock and too much money to spend on ammo.

And the only deer that I’ve seen today got just close enough.
    Cheers!

What's the story with your buddy's deer, has he recovered him yet?

I just had two does and a button buck walk by at 25 yards.

Since I stopped hunting public and switched back to my property I've had does within range in almost every sit, but I'm holding out for a buck with this Missouri gun tag since it's a one deer only tag.

None of this ended up happening. I forgot to realize that the sunset is at 4:42... I posted that at about 3. Decided to scout a bit. I believe I found a natural horizontal rub on our property... I didn't take a pic but will soon.

Scouted a local lake for fishable ice... Will be ice fishing in the morning.

    Good luck everyone hunting.

Thermos full of cold coors light and a nice one hitter. Nothing better to start the morning hunt off.

Well had 2 bucks chase a doe in nieghbors bean field. Watch 2 bucks go up the hill, and cross the road. Then had one buck at 150 yards in neighbors corn field. Only thing in range was four yearling slow elk. Decided to pass and notified the nieghbor. Best sit ive had in awhile.
