If you haven't practiced it, you have learning curve, especially on short axle to axle bows.

Some of us relics learned to finger shoot from the get go...and it's like falling off/riding a bike. I know others got into finger shooting from bowfishing.

No love for me tonight. Saw lots of deer between 4 and dark. I had a fun weekend and got to hunt em up in the snow, but tomorrow is back to that alternate reality called work. Now I have to catch up on the rest of you on the thread.

Today I drove I-80 east from Chicago area all the way to central IN (Elkhart) and back. From approximately 1p to 430p CST (dark.) Through some of the most prime whitetail country in the Midwest, right at primetime during the "rut". I saw a total of 5 deer, 1 single 3 point eating acorns (assuming; it was an oak grove) a single doe in an uncut bean field and 3 together in a cut corn field. 1 was definitely a doe, the other 2 couldn't tell but if they were bucks they were not any bigger than her and did not have noticeable racks.

Normally I would've seen more deer in any random field than that at any time of the year; much less the rut.

Starting to wonder about the track. He said he saw the arrow sticking out his boiler room as he ran off. No other pertinent details as to angle, trajectory or depth of penetration. Looked like definite lung blood posted, hopefully wasn't a single lung and ensuing long track.
