Alright extended family...even though this is probably not the correct thread to post this on, I was wanting y'alls input on a question... what do you use to keep your feet warm when hunting with rubber boots? The reason I ask is because I have to use rubber boots to make it to my stand due to the knee high creeks and the swamps on my way in/out of the stand. I have a pair of Lacrosse Alphaburley Pros that I exclusively use to hunt. I love them but my feet are the only thing on me that gets cold in 28 degree weather like it was yesterday. I did not want to start a debate, but would love your input. I don't plan to buy new boots unless I have to, but am more curious as to some tricks that you might use. For example, certain types of socks, liners, inserts, hot toe warmers, etc that can be used with my current boots. Thank you all so much in advance.

Also, thank you to all the Veterans who have served and are currently serving our wonderful Country! God bless!

Now go kill some deer and post picks! :)

Ok guys, confession time. Most of you saw that big 10 that right by my stand yesterday morning. He just came back through and I thought he was about 40yds, which is my absolute maximum I would take a shot. Turns out he was closer to 50 or so. Arrow went right underneath him. He jumped a little but then just slowly walked off. I recovered my arrow and it is a clean miss. Strangely enough, I feel a little better about yesterday and not being here when I should have. At least I blew the opportunity on my own terms this time. Does that sound weird or what!

I tip my hat to you guys who pack in a climber every time. It has been a few years since I have done it and it’s work.
Bumped every deer on the property twice to get it where I want it.

Not at all you got your shot and you tried to capitalize you misjudged and didn’t wound him. You will get your shot. How much longer are you in Ohio?

Tough break Jim, but it’s great you had an opportunity to see that toad up close.
