    If the big bucks are in my plot tonight that will make 4 nights in a row.. if huntstand is correct with their wind prediction, I will be in my buddy stand this time tomorrow and hope they show up 1 more time.

    Back out for the afternoon. Calculated that 3 hrs Max was what I could sit in this weather. Wet, cold, and not great shooting conditions but the recon will be good for tomorrow. Supposed to be very cold and clear. Bumped 4 when I got to the spot I set up but I believe they will come back thru to get to the oaks near dark. Good luck those who are out. Shoot straight and be safe.

    I will try to write up a small story of the day. It's kind of long, but I will try and do the short version. Something that happen still doesn't sit right with the whole situation, so I've been reluctant to post about it. But I did the right thing and it's done. It probably won't be till tomorrow when I can write it up.

    Make that 140. He 40 yards to my east inside the woods working a rub. He was in front of me at 14 yards for about 6 minutes. Licked all the James Valley Full Draw off the scent pad. 20181109_151010.jpg

    Right, but Active Duty Air Force is getting the following day (Monday) off. So I plan to hit the woods. Although, so will everyone else since I hunt on base and we all have the day off. lol Nothing like shoulder to shoulder hunting. Oh well, like my hunting mentor said, "you can't kill them from the couch".

    Not in Logan county. I have two bigger bucks. This guy is thick and a nine point 3.5 yo. Next year.

    Took me londger to get here than I wanted but I am in a river bottom downwind of where I had two does bedded a couple of weeks ago. About 2 1/2 hours to go.
