Thank you, sir. After that and butchering the buck, then cooking tenderloin for the whole family...I'm whipped. I couldn't arrange a dog and never did find that doe. It's so thick in there I dont know. Sucks. What a waste.

That's a lot of work! I don't believe anyone would question that effort.
    Keep up the good work!

Thanks! I’m off to a record start for sure! My dad is gonna think I’m lying! Lol!

My ground blinds will be in on Monday. I already have the spots for where I can bury them in the mountain laurel. No more getting busted by fidgeting!

Was going to hunt today but didn't have the right wind. Ended up hanging a set at a property north of ours. Should be a good spot. I don't think I've ever hung one that I thought was in a "bad" spot just ended up being in a spot that the deer didn't like. What do they know.

Wise choice to not hunt with a wrong wind. Requires discipline, I'm always tempted to though! I had to switch spots in the late morning because of a wind shift. I didn't want to, and almost had convinced myself that I wouldn't get busted!

It's tough Joe! Ya think all is well when the wind changes and then the deer quit coming by. Ya wonder, was it the wind or something else?

I don't know, I think you're slacking a bit this year. Last year you killed every deer that came by.......

On a serious note glad you are finally seeing some deer, I couldn't imagine not seeing a deer in a sit let alone a season or more. I'd have never lasted, I'd be on a quilting forum or something

In valleys surrounded by ridges you never have a right wind. I get hit with every direction of wind regardless of what they say the predominant wind of the day is.

Yea I still gotta find a spot for one stand and maybe move another. Others worked on today are from last few years.

Woods were dead tonight somehow. Only saw a skunk. Went into town and killed several Spotted Cows, however. All is not lost.

Good luck in morning to all!

Very tight in here no available shots outside 20 yds. Great view above the tree line. Have always had good luck in here but looks like less sign then past years. Rained last night so it’s noisy with all the rain falling off the leaves, cool and calm. Awesome sunrise!

That’s why you hunt the pinch points of those ridges and saddles. Plus the bucks will typically run just below the ridges to avoid being highlighted and will scent check the valleys for hott does. Well more mature bucks will
