Good luck to the afternoon shift, it’s killing me not being out there but my mom had a couple of doctors appointments today so that trumps dear hunting.

I think I just shot low. Rushed the shot and dropped bow arm. Back tension sucked as well. I should have let him go to my last opening about 10 feet further and shot clean. After that he would have been gone.

The goatee almost got me a buck. I have a special hat ready for Saturday morning. Lol

You should move states then because unless the law changes people will hunt how they want. Just the way it goes.

Got blind set up today so figured what the heck I'll try it out. Dont really know what to expect out of it, there's usually deer feeding in the little field in front of me and there's good trail goin into draw behind me to my right.

Yes the platform is needs leveled and no my black face isn't racially motivated ha. Have good night fellas. Sorry bout your buck VS, still you been on them this year and hopefully will have another chance.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Damn sorry to hear VS, I know we were all pulling for you!

My morning sit was quite eventful ending with a quick clean kill. The morning started right at day break when I had a doe and a fawn come in followed by 2 1.5 year old bucks. They all moved off and soon after I had 2 other small bucks come through, they killed around sparred a little bit and then moved off. Around 7:45 I heard what I thought was a deer walking through some water, I threw out a couple soft grunts and immediately saw a small tree just getting thrashed! I gave two more soft grunts when he stopped rubbing the tree and he started heading my way pretty quick. I thought that was all it was going to take and it probably would have been enough but he stopped and made two scrapes so I gave 2 more soft grunts facing away from him. I turned back around and he was coming in hot, all bristled up and just licking his chops looking for a fight, he picked one he couldn’t win! The buck ended up coming to 12 yards and I pinwheeled him!l. He ran about 50 yards and piled up. It’s a great feeling but also very bittersweet being tagged out with a month and a half of the season left! Image1541710193.794532.jpg Image1541710220.278046.jpg Image1541710248.280152.jpg

I think we need to pull the “veteran card” out, do they not appreciate our sacrifices? Do they not enjoy the freedom we have given them?

I've been cool and calm all the way home. Then walking up the front steps of my house I just realized I blew it on the biggest buck of my life....[IMG]
