Well today was great and very educational. Saw 16 deer and 10 of those in afternoon. Nothing closer than 50 yards but will be adjusting that in the morning and moving in for the kill tomorrow.

Hot one today. Didn't bother trying to get in stand. Almost 80 here. Much cooler weekend coming up so we will def see lots of deer and many kills this weekend!

I sat from 5:00AM until 5:00PM and only saw a basket 8pt and a yearling doe. The 8pt walked to within 15yrds of me from behind. So wet I didn't hear him, just happened to look his way. I didn't see either of the bucks I was hoping for. That's a long day and only see two deer, very disheartening! But, there's still time.
I also saw a red tail hawk come swooping down through the trees. That's always cool to see.

I was stubborn/stupid today I sat in my regular stand for the 5th time, I should have sat in the east old ladder stand. I didn't get busted and I drew but that damn wire doe would only give me a quartering to she circled out and came back right before dark but it was too dark to see exactly where I wanted to hit. Had I been in that east stand the angles would have been better. Pissed at myself.

This waking up at 3:15am crap stinks. I just can't go to bed at 8pm. Last time I looled at clock last night was 11:18 and I had to take some Z Quill at that.

Might get an inch of snow tomorrow night as well, that's worth a doe hunt should I happem to get a 2nd buck tomorrow.

Should also note, the pic of him next to the bed I had already flipped him for the drag back the way he came. Figured I needed to get a pic before dragging him out.

Here's a view west from the bed. Wind was from WNW today

    20181107_091942.jpg

This one looks east but was for the rub nit the view. He was basically on a rise under the highline. Not sure if this was the bed he would use today or if he knew where he wanted to go injured. It also drops down on bith north and south sides, so more like a mound feature.

Just saw the little forkie tonight. The wind layed down about an hour before dark and made for a real nice evening. Tomorrow it's supposed to be about 30 and fairly calm winds. Plus, it's the 8th of November and that always seems to be the date I start seeing more bucks.

27 degrees. 30.4 pressure. Light west wind.

I’m thinking I have an appointment scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

I’m heading back to the swamp (rifle and bow in hand).

seen two doe from 11:30 til dark. I'm heading back into the giants lair tomorrow. I'm done with this new spot. I'm going back to my old faithful stands. I haven't been able to enjoy this thread seeing most of my spots have very little service.

Gotta love Benton county not plowing the roads unless there is 10+ inches of snow.
