    I'm getting down here in a few as well. Slow walk the sandy 2 track and pull my cards on way back to camper. Have 4 that have been soaking since Aug 12.

    Moved my stand 40 yds. Will be hunting it this evening. Gives me a better shot at the trail that the 140” came up last year that I missed and the 120” I saw today that never got in a shooting lane.

    This wind is swirling like crazy. Not sure what to do for this afternoon. I Think I’ll eat a couple PB&J sandwiches, take a nap, then run and gun trying to find an oak grove.

    Ehh, can’t kill em from the car. I’m heading back in going to look for an oak grove and fresh sign. Hopefully I have cell service. If not you won’t hear from me LOL! Good luck everybody just in case!

    Headed home. Tracked the doe quite a ways. Speck here speck there on my hands and knees through cedars briars and spiders. Finally lost blood. Nothing at the nearest water. I may see if my buddy can put a dog on it. I hate losing them.

    I searched all day and never found any more blood. If it was legal I would put out a trail cam. I am pretty sure she is walking around with a broken sternum. I never noticed any turkey vultures or crows hanging out around there, so I am pretty sure she made it. After I get everything vacuum packed from last night I'm going back to looking for elk.
