Ground pounding in my ghillie in some CRP, honeysuckle and some scattered pines. thinking of bringing a ladder stand here tomorrow though, but the lanes are tight. Probably see further/clearer from ground

Thicket behind me big pines to my west open hardwoods east and south
Deer usually come from west and south
    We shall see
Very surprised by lack of movement I’m seeing

The last two updates are looking better. Go slow and mark the trail carefully. Keep scanning.

suffered traumatic brain injuries when it broke. They don't realize they are still in the woods. Easy way to make sure the manufacturer doesn't get sued.

I had to relocate. The wind was getting wrong for the valley I was in.

I scrambled and looked at a couple of likely spots and found a scrape line with some good rubs along an old dim road that runs down a finger off the main ridge.

I'm positioned between the road to my east and a cut-over to my west.

Could be good. Hunting public land is a lot of fun.

Wife is getting off early so I’m gonna slip in some public land where I’ve seen some fresh scrapes and no hunter traffic
