    Or until a buck comes out and chases them off. Nice little 8 pointer walked out and caught a wiff of onebthe bigger doe and ran her out of field. Good sign either way of what rest of week might be like.

    Well guys, I’m sorry to say that we had no luck finding my buck. We basically grid searched every bit of cover west & east of the alfalfa field all the way south to the property line, walked both sides of the river and found nothing. No arrow, no blood, no deer. Hopefully the shot was higher than I thought and I missed gut and the deer makes it. If not, the coyotes will find him.

    Thanks again for all of the encouragement today, y’all kept me motivated when I was pretty down this morning. Obviously I was hoping for a better ending to this story but it takes some of the sting away knowing I did what I could to try and recover him. Gonna go home, go buy some new mechanical broadheads, drink a few beers and wake up tomorrow to a new day. Can’t let this get me down, the best is yet to come...hopefully.

    So 398 msgs to catch up on, not happening. So, congrats, man that's awesome, awe man that blows and I often think that same thing and/or dont.

    Back out for what is hopefully my last 70° sit. Checked cams, big boys are cruising late evenings and nights. Beautiful evening, good wind and no where near a t.v. or any stupid political ads!

    Tough go Okiearrow. One thing to think about though, don’t let this one instance shy you away from a certain type of broadhead. My uncle just lost a beast of a buck with mechanical that hit shoulder. It can go either way.
