Evidently I could hang a bird feeder in the middle of my food plot filled with any attractant and as long as it was 6' off the ground it is legal. But yet the bird feeder in my yard that is at 40" off the ground it could be considered baiting if I had a weapon in view of the bird feeder.

Only thing still green and on the trees is buckthorn and sitting in my stand reminds me I have to get after it in the pasture next spring, buckthorn sucks.

First time in this stand for the year. Tons of scrapes. There never is a good wind for here. South is bedding, north travel corridor and bedding, east and west is primarily a thick area with many deer runs. I am here with a south wind. Lots of deer around. Bumped 3 does on the way in. A good day for killing boys!...and Junior!

Gotta keep my head on a swivel. Wish I had that twirling tree climber.

I didn’t post what I did as a pity party. But your words - all of them - mean a lot to me. Thank you all sincerely. I definitely take stuff like that to heart. A soft side I know.

Back in the stand hoping for some action. I’m taking off Thursday and Friday again this week to go up to the farm. I’m starting my coughing symptoms early. Like today early. *Cough cough*

Good luck boys knock em down.

Just remember this, each of us have been 18, driven to fast, and said something we wish we would have said differently. I am one of the worst of them. I appreciate your willingness to hear the things said and take them in stride. Don't worry, having a soft side is a virtue. Hope you kill a IL giant.

Got out of the shower and went to go out the back door and it is raining and not a light rain, berber fleece and rain do not mix I will take my chances tomorrow in the snow. Positive note the all day soaking rain will sour that corn pile.
