Some DNR officers might argue that by being aware of the bait and still sitting in proximity to it would be the same as putting it there yourself.

Just to clarify I would probably sit near it or setup on a travel route to it. I am not against it.

Took my wife out slug hunting last night and the weather was pretty crappy. Cold and rainy and we were sitting on the ground. On our walk back to the truck she said she will be pissed if I don't buy or build her a permanent stand for next year. Score!

Just had some turkeys move through. Other then that nothing moving. Might try to hit the horns to see if something will come in.

I walked for 2.5 hrs. Wind died to nothing so I went to my best spot. I'm inside the doe beds. Probably only hunt I'll ever get in here this year so screw it.

Victory or bust! I put my trail cam out about 150 yds from here on the fringes a couple weeks ago. Gonna check it now.[IMG]

Yep for two days now. I saw a young buck chasing a doe on Saturday when I got here. So far movement has been slim. Waiting until later in the week to hit my prime stands once the weather is better.

I positioned this camera a little too far from these beds but that's ok. Several different bucks walking toward the beds on it. I'd love to get a crack at this guy.[IMG]

The stand I was in this morning is really the only one I have good for today's wind. I just don't know if I can stare at the same strip of land for the next 4 hours.

Trying to decide what to do. Rain is supossed to move on, but it's really coming down steady right now. Can't figure out if just go and sit in it until it stops or wait it out and then try and slip into a stand. Luckily I'm only 10 mins from hunting area. If it was little warmer wouldn't even question sitting in the rain but 40 degress and wet seems like a good recipe to get sick.
