Honestly, this is the reason I spent most of today here on the forums and not hunting. I despise the wind when I'm hunting, and simply don't enjoy myself. I hate, as you mention, not being able to hear anything, not to mention the fact that everything is constantly moving! Today in my area of SE Pa we had sustained winds of 18mph, and gusts of 27mph. Sitting in that is not my idea of fun.

I have all of next week, and the following week to hunt, so I'm sure things will get better. Tues looks like perfect conditions for my kind of hunting. Cloudy with a SSE light wind. I will kill my buck then! :tu:

Live from the kitchen and dining room mother truckers!! Getting my Mr Mom on while actual mom is in a tree. She had a buck grunting behind her just minutes after she got in the tree but never saw what it was

It’s rainy, but that’s okay because I’m tough, burly, and masculine.

Buck was probably 50 yards for 5 or 10 mins. Made a scrape and went back way he came. Pretty cool encounter. His left side g2 was broke off and kinda looked like he had a hole in other side but couldn't tell. Wasn't real wide but judging off his face he kinda looked old and gray. Pretty good night so far either way

What county? Adams it's pretty calm, occasional 5-10 breeze out of the E.

This front coming in should have them on their feet but nothing for me so far. My buddy had small antlerless pass by him at a good clip about hour ago headed my direction but must've veered off because I never saw it. I'm only gonna shoot a big nanny with fawns tonight. There's one in particular I got a vendetta against from last year. I'm in the same stand she picked me off in last year. First time I've sat it all season. That witch gives me a chance she's going to get an arrow- or 4.

Well that escalated quickly, sitting here feeling sorry for myself, understanding what Joe goes thru all the time, and bam! Two run out right under me. First deer all day. Shot high but I think I saw her fall. Carrying the mail and a lumenoc. Here goes nothing.

Sauk. Doesn't help I'm on the corner of a bean field with nothing to block the wind.
