Too warm to venture to a tree this morning. God it feels like 85 out. Mosquitoes are probably terrible.

I used a doe bleat around 4pm and had a 4pt come right in. Grunting the entire time . Made a rub and scrape right next to me. Nanny doe busted me but didn’t know what was going on came from 100yds out to 20. Drew on her 3 times but didn’t give me a shot. She did have 2 fawns with her so I feel a bit better about not shooting.

    Leaving for the stand now.

Nice! Love it man! All I drive is ford's, currently have a 15 F250. So far a great truck. And I see you picked a good color, won't show all the blood stains! Lol

I'm in the stand in central WI. Checked a perimeter cam and had 3-4 shooters and 1 monster in last week. Blew 4 out on the way in, 3 definitely no antlers last one couldn't tell but big. Slight occasional puffs of wind out of SE. Got up in ladder stand and almost tilted out- bottom platform strap was loose and leg sank into ground when I leaned out to hang my pack on the hook in the tree next to me. Wasn't hooked in yet, I'd left the prusic knot at top of the rope when I last set this stand. Stupid. Scared the bejeesus out of me. "Just this once" will get you killed.

Good luck everyone, killing time. hope I haven't used up all of mine- Got a skunk under me now!

I'm up. Crappy signal won't hear much from me. Bumped one right at the stand, seen a few in field as I pulled in.

I should have wore more clothes. This early season scent lok with a few base layers gets quite chilly at 33 degrees. Gotta say tho... it doesn’t feel like 33. Feels much warmer than that.

Good luck today everyone. Lets kill.

Why are there ten freaking scrapes in close proximity of my tree stand and no freaking deer to make them. They must be fake.

Been set up for 30 mins. Sitting in a new stand just put up last week. Saw 2 sets of eyes on the way in. They didn't snort, just let me go on by. Very foggy this morning!

Absolute sheet show, everything on the east side of the levee is flooded for duck season. Spot I thought I'd be able to cross is about 5ft of water. Found a tree on the levee and going to sit for about 45min longer then move into the west side of the levee.
On a positive note, saw 16 deer where I parked my truck. Stupid deer hang out in the only dang parking lot.
Oh well, I planned on burning the morning anyway. Saw 3 bucks I'd shoot while I was getting dressed, and with the flooded timber, I think it will narrow down travel routes.
