I would guess with that description you struck leg bone. Probably the humerus or just above the knuckle to scapula.

There's likely blood somewhere and just took a bit to run down the leg. Whether it was lethal or not is totally dependent on whether it shattered the leg bone amd was able to enter the cavity and puncture a lung or if the broadhead lodged in the bone.

If no citals were hit, only time will tell whether she survives. Bone infections can get nasty.

If it did get into lung then the broadhead would likely be thrashing that lung and she'll eventually die. Might take a minute for her to fill up and start getting spray.

Normally, in my experience a shoylder shot not hitting vitals will run fir about 40-50yds and then stand for a bit leaving a pool of blood and then walk away pausing to address the wound every 10-20yds or so.

Not sure how much you searched and what not, or how much light was available but might be worth another search in the morning.

Never thought I'd say this, but y'all need to stop killing for a bit. I'm going to be the only one still posting in here by the time my vacation starts Friday

One more day and I'm a free man! Work tomorrow and then Halloween w the wife and kids and it's go time. Forecast looks like rain and lots of wind next week but I'll be out!
Huge congrats to all who have put deer down the last few days...making it hard for me to go to work! Meanwhile I had a new buck show up that is begging to get shot...[IMG][IMG]

Just to update this @FEB, it is currently boxed up and heading back. Would not recognize the SD card anymore. Tried a different one and the only thing I could pull up was a volume folder or something. And I could never get the USB cable to connect to computer.

Doubt I'll be trying to film a kill this year unless I figure out a way in the next 2 days to get my handycam attached

5 doe and 2 bucks tonight. One borderline shooter, but he was 125 yards away. Passed the doe and then got winded. Won’t be out again until Friday or Saturday.
