Just saw this post FEB. Yes, I'm using a Tactacam and I'm still trying to get used to it.

I got the first doe I killed on video. I recorded the does coming in, their change in direction, me stopping the doe and the shot. The "pop" when the arrow hit was LOUD, but then I forgot all about the camera and all there is after that is a view of the ground.

Even though the video is shaky and I screwed it all up I probably should post it.

I wish I'd thought to turn it on yesterday when I saw the mountain lion.

I don't get this. It's like every life form in these woods just up and moved away.

Looks like you need wider shooting lanes or choose a different tree.

I'm in the only tree for a NW wind. Rest is this brush. I've got a camera down the fence line and maybe 1 out of 10 cross where he did because I manipulated the fence in a different spot. He's big for a reason I guess. [IMG]

Maybe your little kitty cat had something to do with that?

I think it was word spread through the woods that LC had moved in.

A public land buck in VA and a mountain lion in Tennessee wow what a day yesterday. I have the Jeep loaded, lunch made and will be heading out in a few. New spot this afternoon for me. It's a 5 acre partial in the back of a neighborhood. Land owner wants every deer gone plus he has offered a $20 bounty on any Coyote. Hopefully I can let some arrows fly and break in my Triax. Will check back once I'm in the stand. Safe hunting everyone!!

I don't think the deer are paying attention to the calender...dont they know they should be running, chasing and grunting right now

Yea, I’d like to see it.
I ran a GoPro for a couple of seasons, but the wide angle sucks for hunting. And I believe the deer were seeing that big, round lens. I was getting picked off left and right!
I missed some great footage last year, looking for other options.

My thoughts as well. Probably not a huge population, so when one is around, they get the hell out of there.
Can’t say that I blame them!

Mike tracked the buck to the neighbors property. Found the property owner and he won't let Mike on to the property to continue his search. Mike contacted the game commission and they told him there is no law to enforce to make the property owner let him on his property to continue the search.

    This sucks
