    Wel boys, guess im to stinky. It was a calm eve and it was a treestand i put up today and its hot and i was drenched in sweat by the time i got in stand and the ole slick heads winded me time and time again

    Sitting in the Houston airport with about 30
    Minutes to board my flight to Calgary. After that, a six hour drive and elk camp.

    Why do kids have to make it so hard to leave? Both my older boys cried themselves to sleep last night because I am leaving for a trip without them. I thought they had outgrown that.

    Tough for sure, but enjoy it. Enjoy still being a hero in their eyes!
    My son is 18, and could care less if I left for a week or so. I miss those days of being a hero! LOL!!

    Such an eventful night. Think I saw the most deer I’ve ever seen in one 2 hour sit. All does and fawns but it was still awesome. Lot of turkeys too (even heard 2 gobbles. First time I’ve heard a gobble in the fall).

    Great first sit.
