    Oh yeah. I tried 2 different paths and had same wind. The spot I put stand is too hard to get to without jumping them. I'm gonna try something about 200 yards away

    Quartering to or away/broadside, shot angle as in his height, distance and such. Deer reaction at and after impact.

    There's a lot of variables that change things from push it to keep it bleeding or to back out and wait for first light.

    By the blood I would say dead deer, but it's the dark frothy looking stuff around the bright muscle blood that has me wondering what happened.

    What does everyone else make of this?

    Did he slice through the esophagus? Not sure what exactly this is, looks bubbly or chunky but is nearly blackberry in color.
