Heading back up to camp. Going to do some quick scouting in a section of woods I haven’t walked yet this year. Check trail cams and put together a plan for an afternoon hunt

I'm awake. Time to shower up (pics on request) and hit the woods. Getting to the stand an hour early today. Ninja Joe style.

I hunt at my in laws which I am forever grateful for, but sometimes depending how the ol' tummy feels I gotta use the bathroom and they are both heavy smokers. So much for scent control. Beats leaving a load for them in their driveway though I guess. Good luck to all the hunters out this morning.

Almost to the woods. Packed for a all day sit but with the temp set to get close to 70 we will have to wait and see. Good luck everyone.

Thanks guys for following along with me last night. It was great having your support. Long story short, it took me three hours to find him after tracking for more than a mile. He went places a healthy deer would never go, let alone a wounded one. When we finally caught up to him, he was in the thickest nastiest place you could imagine. By far it was toughest track job I've ever done. And since I live more than hour away from where I hunt, I never got home until 0130. I'm way to old to be out that late. I'll post the entire story later but I just wanted to thank, you, my brothers, for all your encouragement and support. GIT-R-DONE today guys!!

    Blessings........Pastorjim

Decided to start pouring out. Sitting in my truck. Don't feel like getting soaked before my 5 hour sit.

How do you prepare them? I've tried a couple and never been overly impressed.

Congrats everyone on the harvests! Things are breaking loose here, lot of young bucks starting to chase, runs and scrapes showing up everywhere. Time of year anything can happen!
