I haven’t seen anything but it’s almost prime time. I see 3 does last minutes of light yesterday about 40 yards away. I’m set up near where they were yesterday. Good luck everyone

Prime time right here, the Bucks been back 3 times now, last time he brought a fawn with him, hopefully a big doe comes through have about 45 minutes till dark

Finally made it out. Had to go with plan Beach as the wind switched on me. This is where I started yesterday afternoon, but every deer that came through spooked at a cow sitting over there and went the other way.

Here is my shooting lane. 34 yards to the tree.

Shooting light (legal) ended about an hour and ten minutes ago, but it was so nice I sat for an extra hour. It is amazing that even with a waxing crescent moon the cottonwood leaves reflect the light when the wind blows through them. Very worth it.

16 days season opens here.

Full week of 90's says I'll sit my fat ass in a lazy boy living vicariously through all of you. Not gonna hunt if October sees temps remotely close to this.

 

Of note was I never felt a single one on all my sits. It was very nice but we've bin dry all summer as well.

 

You need to shoot a doe first by law!? Or is it your personal choice?

Sitting in the stand for my first whitetail hunt of the season. Sure is hot!!! Ate the last of my deer meat for dinner last night. Time to put some new meat in the freezer.

This time of year it's all avout the tropics. Pretty active now and anything with potential to impact the US mainland can change that quickly.

I was more referring to the "Indian Summer" making its appearance. I haven't hunted much in the early season past few years, get too discouraged with temps and bugs. Don't really have a choice come November, but it's a whole new game then.
