Gonna catch up on one missed day, lol. Back in one of my favorite trees. Pulled the card and Im sure my #1 was thru a couple days ago. Good sign as this spot heats up the further into rut we go. SW wind is perfect and a semi fresh scrape is 20 yrds away. Deer pics are terrible but you get the point. Good luck this evening and lay the smack down! 1540241101227.jpeg IMG_20181014_063156822.jpeg IMG_20181014_063144835.jpeg

In the stand for the first time this season. Sitting on a tree line that connects to a block of timber to my south. Stand is overlooking a cut bean field with a cut corn field just to the north where the tree line ends.
It's pretty windy out with wind coming out of the west at about 15mph

Small world for sure. I'm 30 minutes from Corry and have a great spot in Elgin, just west of Corry.

Sometimes you get lucky...on Saturday I had 4 deer that wandered behind me (3 fawns and 1 unknown). Only 1 winded me, the rest stayed just close enough that my scent must've wafted just over them.

    Good luck.

    I'm so sorry. :D

    Nah just kidding.

That Fox river area has some nice spots, but...Illinois, um, has some leadership, financial and other challenges.

Finally set up for the evening, much later than I would’ve liked but I’m here. Was planning to hunt a hang on stand these evening over looking an alfalfa field but got to the tree and realized i forgot my harness at home like an idiot...Decided I better play it safe and hunt my ground blind that is on the other side of the river but takes 15 min. to get to from where I was. Anyways, i hustled and now I’m sweaty and a little flustered but what the hell, at least I’m hunting...never know what could show up.

Good luck to everyone this evening! Now to catch up on the last 6 pages I haven’t read from today...

Back out after the big one after a craptacular day at work. Little warm, 70° and the wind is a swirling. Couple more days until it's really on by the looks of it. Wednesday and Thursday look great.
