Not so great a shot. Quartering away. I was really off on the impact sight. About a third of the body up and in just ahead of the last rib. Missed the heart completely. Got the small lobe on one lung and sliced into the other lung.

I believe I would have found her in the first bed had I not had to leave and not taken the time to look for the start of the trail.

The other stuff will take care of itself. Just glad it did not involve any of my or my wife's family. I know that sounds kind of strange but when drugs and alcohol are involved, strange things happen.

well I helped my buddy yesterday on tracking his doe and long story short we were unsuccessful. He told me when he hit her, that he didn't feel good about it. She was slightly quartered away and he jerked his shot, hitting her back in the stomach region. We never found the arrow as she ran through a bunch of thick stuff. The blood was very sparse and only giving us pin drops of dark blood. We fear it was a fatal shot, but it just sucks that he lost her.

I think the deer stole my playbook this year. They know exactly where to stay so I don't have a shot. Come right to the edge of it and stop. Grr

Now they are at 50 yards and bedded down....

Either it's hopping, he's asleep, maybe blood trailing or helping Mud.

Better than my expectations. That fisher must've been cool.

I stayed until about 10:30. The wind started changing up big time and I felt it was just the right time to get out of there. Now it's time to do some house work to earn my keep
