The lone wolf seat pad is so molded to my butt that it might become an adaptation affecting my offspring. Much less cold this morning. Bumped some does in the dark. Same saddle as last night. Mainly an experimental sit. Saw 2 does and 5 toms here yesterday. I’m kind of already regretting not pulling my climber over to the other ridge where I’d bet my bag of weed there’s deer at as we speak. Anyway, here’s a pic of a bobcat from my camera. Good luck all [IMG]

I am on the lower circled saddle In the picture[IMG]

I love the mindset - it's the time spent with loved ones, not the trophies, that are most valuable. I lost my dad when he was 56 and think of him often while hunting and fishing.

Good luck to those who are out today. I’m hunting all day tomorrow and gonna try some rattling. Deer were definitely on their feet this morning on my way to work

I lined up a hunt yesterday afternoon with my older brother. He is just coming off double hip replacement in June. Took him to my lease and dropped him off 15 yards from the stand that I had picked for him to hunt. Circled the lease a ways and stopped at one of my favorite stands to hunt.
Hadn't set for 15 minutes when I started seeing deer. I ended up shooting a nanny doe at 18 yards and watched her fall. My brother shot a doe also 15 minutes later.

Just had a 5 point push 6 doe through. He was giving a button a rough time, and harrasing the ladies. No shot opportunities. 10 minutes later 2 stragglers came in. Way to small to shoot. Was good to see some rut type activity. Where is grandpa?
