Plus your state tax...unless you live in a state with no taxes.

You may be able to play some games and reduce taxes via a trust.

    Again ymmv.

Just had a spike chase a small doe past me. They were moving along pretty good.

Well that’s it for me from NJ. Headed back to VT in about an hour. I will be out in VT a few afternoons each of the next two weeks, VT’s Archery season ends Nov 2. I’ll be looking for my target 8 in the back 50 over the food plots. Was a great time. I took home two Doe and a Buck in my time here and James shot his first ever deer. Good times. I’ll be following along from the office till Thursday!! Good luck everyone.

I (not that you asked me lol) use Arctic Shield boot covers. I actually wear kayak/diving boots on the walk in with regular white socks. (extremly thin sole, you can move through the woods like a ninja, (you can feel if you stepped on a maple leaf, or an oak leaf) Then once in stand I take those off and put on a pair of thick wool socks, and throw two Toe Warmers into each boot cover, and slide my feet with only socks in, and that's it! Keeps my feet toasty warm.

No deer sightings for me this morning but it was possibly the worst conditions I’ve hunted in for about a half hour 30mph gust and snow in my face and i forgot my gloves( unreal). On the upside when I got out of my stand brand new ground scrape 20yds left of my stand in the shooting lane. I think it has to be a south wind to be productive though the north wind was blowing right to the scrape. Looks like south wind the next couple days I’ll be hunting that spot more frequently.

They are awesome to wear until the temp drops below 50 degrees, then they are brutally cold! They are awesome for undetected entry to the stand.

Here's another tip for those crunchy frosty leaf days, Deer walking!! (it does take longer to get to the stand though) have your toes hit first, then snap your heel down and repeat process for the other foot, giving you the "1,2 pause 3,4" sound of a deer or four legged animal. A secret I learned from master still hunter G. Fred Asbell.

That sounds brutal!! Good to find the fresh sign, really uplifting after a rough sit!
