Do you use a climber Brett? What stand are you hauling all this way in and out?

    Congrats noodles!

I'm back in a tree. Morning hunt was a bust, and it ended when I stood up to take a leak, and my bow somehow fell out of the third hand and to the ground... talk about a sick feeling....

So went out, checked my bow over and shot it, grabbed a bite to eat, took a power nap, and headed back in.

I'm set up on a tight little saddle that collects from a fat little ridge. It's a ways back in here to park, then about. 500 yard walk with a bluff that made me wish I had my climbing gear.

    Good luck out there!

Sleet passed. While I was up at the top of the road hill sending that, another truck parked where I wanted to hunt... D'oh!

I ended up deep in an area where I used to hunt, I'd given up on this parcel last 2 seasons as it was festooned with stands. Oh, and a miserable drag of if do get one.

First time I've been back here this year. Some rubs, one buck bed in the adjacent corner of crp, and a good wind...oh, and no other hunters. On the ground tonight but hanging a stand tomorrow! This is a good rut area- well, hanging a stand if I don't tag out tonight, that is..

I know Nomad isn't the biggest name brand out out there, but I'm rocking their windproof anorak pullover and it's a lifesaver. 20-25+ gusts and my upper body doesn't feel a thing. My legs are chilly but I can deal. Wearing old UA fleece cold gear pants that used to be wind resistant at least...Now, not so much. I'll have the Nomad pants on tomorrow, for sure.

I use an open face Summit climber. Cant remember the model. Pretty light and easy to set up.

That is perfect right there. Open woods with a white backdrop.

    Jealous would be an understatement.

Way to blow an opportunity

I so would have played the, "I have an absolute toad in front of me" card. Followed up with "he's on the ground, pics to follow"......

So much potential missed with that one.

Fox at 20yards, no clue I'm here. Rain is coming so it looks like I'll be getting out early tonight. Fox would pounce, then lay in it's belly and wait. Trying to get Chipmunks. IMG_20181020_182024695_BURST000_COVER_TOP.jpeg
