    Last week i sat in this stand. Seen 11 deer two fawns only thing in range. Today not a single deer. The joys of small property hunting.

    Certainly a double edged sword, i hate how much they limit options but i love em when it's cold way easier to move around warm myself up

    Found a two separate hot rub lines that have opened up in the last day or two, the good one is on 2-3” dia trees. Big for around here. They are leading downhill, so I’m hoping he gets up early this afternoon, and takes a walk into the valley of the shadow of death.

    Got a perfect setup for it, and a perfect entry to it. As long as he doesn’t circle from around behind me!
    At the car, got my dip. Gonna eat a pb&j and take a nap.

    Big cold front pushing through, wind advisory issued here. Should be ripping them leaves off their branches all day and night.

    Have a feeling some bucks will be dropped Sunday morning across IL as coldest temps of the season filter in and winds calm.

    Got down, back at the house watch a little BHOD cook some deer steak and eggs and be back at it in a couple hours! Didn’t hear a single shot on the property today, hoping the small game hunters are out this afternoon

    I am getting soft it is windy and cold today with snow showers off and on not real fired up about going and taking the fence off the plot and hanging a stand today. Not real fun rolling up 1000' of plastic snow fence and cutting off a million zip ties.
