Lol, isn't that what we're all supposed to do?

Sun just broke through the treetops here. Blind to the east for next 15-30 mins which is awesome because I heard something walking over there

Dad drove around the property I am on right now 20 cars parked on this 500acre piece of public, hoping a lot of those are small game and they get the deer moving!

Nothing moving through yet. Ground blind is growing on me a bit. I can get up and stretch, move around and not worry about being busted. The spot it’s in is still horrible though! Lol

Been sitting in a down pour since first light but it’s finally easing up. Hopefully that will get the deer moving

Got a doe and fawn in woods 65 yds away milling around. Always amazes me how they seem to pop up out of no where

My first thought when getting out here this morning was to sit in a stand close to my persimmon patch. Instead I opted to sit in my back pasture and wouldn't ya know, I have watched a steady stream of does and younger bucks heading for the persimmons. I think I am going to slip out of here, go home and eat a pile of bacon and eggs. No, not a little mess or a good size serving, a pile.

Hmm....woods are real quiet this AM. might be time to head back to camp for a quick bite and nap and then head out to the CRP and start ground pounding. Wind is perfect for that today.

Giving it till 945 then I'm heading in

Temperature before the storm 46°. Temperature after the storm 37°. Normally I would enjoy the temperature drop for hunting however with the Wind it's horrible

Front is pushing through with light drizzle all morning. Just moved to my second spot off a heavy traveled ridge. Got wind in my face. Hopefully something comes by mid morning

Doe and 2 fawns (no spots) milled about for a while. Think I shot over the doe. I'll get down and double check in a bit.
