    I finally did it, made it to my stand 1 hour before legal time! Now maybe I can put a decent buck down. Won’t take much, 6 points or better! Lol!!!

    Posted up just inside a pine thicket. Super quiet here waiting on the sun. Rubs have me surrounded some nice fresh ones too. Bumped a deer on the walk in shouldn’t matter it was a ways off pretty sure it was heading my direction anyway. Much kill[​IMG]
    My buddies buck from last night broke off part of his mainbeam after being shot

    No deer yet. This is the little clearing in the pines I’m in. My morning sits have been god awful here. I think I’ve seen 1 deer in morning.

    Side note first hunt out of the new assault. Kinda strange after using only my alpha the past 3-4 years but I like it. I bought some cottonwood backpack straps with it these things are pretty nice really comfy

    First time wind has been right to hunt this area
    Lots of paths through the tall grass
    Trying to make something happen
    Can’t hunt the next two evening with wife’s work schedule and son’s birthday
