Had a slow start to the morning, no deer seen until about 935 when I saw a doe feeding along on my right, down the ridge to the west from where I am, and where I expected the deer to come from.

Then, not a minute after she got out of sight I glance to the east, uphill, and my entrance/exit route, and I see a big buck for this area. Pushing 140" 10. I watch him walk across the path I came in on, and then see movement behind him. Small 1.5 yo feeding behind him. Then paws a scrape out.

While he is doing this, im watching the bigger buck, 40 yards, broadside, but with a couple small limbs in the way. Then the little packet has must have caught my scent from where i walked in, because he blew and they both trotted away from me uphill...

Heck of a hunt! But time to go wash everything I own!

Here she is, he definitely makes the deer look a little bit smaller than my wife does but she was probably a 2 1/2 year-old doe with no fawns so a perfect eater! It was a great morning, this is the first deer in 4 or 5 years that my dad has taken a deer in the bow season after a couple unlucky breaks on deer that he shot last year and the year before. I couldn’t have asked for anything more! The only downside is he really likes the stand that he was in and now knows where it’s at lol.

I climbed down at 10 took a quiet walk I have the whole training area to my self today. The amount of sign I found .... I didn’t save any of the pics from snap chat but it was impressive. I am gonna head back in soon and push in tight to bedding in the pines .

I have one. They are nice. It's a great way to decrease bulk and stay warm. I already had the batteries, so I only had to buy the sweatshirt. The battery pocket is kind of in an odd place in the back but can be slid to your side. I wash as infrequently as possible and only wear it if I am going to use the heat. Battery sizes vary and there are different heat levels. I've never killed a battery during a sit.
