Came in late because my mom made me go to the store to buy spinach. Went out anyway and busted my big shooter out of the plot 20 yards from my stand

Back out on the stand, had just pulled my bow up and the little fork horn is already on the plot to my north and nanny doe with two fawns in the woods to my east. 15mph gusts out of the north with temps falling and barometric pressure steady at 30.39

Went in to some core ground this evening, had an idea of where I wanted to go, and busted deer out as I walked in... ended up finding a good looking spot by a giant oak and got up in my lock on.

I've got to say, it's not nearly as easy or as comfortable or quiet as using my climber. How do you guys that use them pack in s lone wolf set up and get up a tree without scaring every deer in the woods??

I consistently kill whitetails with my bow... I haven’t missed one in a long time... I want to kill a big doe or big buck ... this guy just didn’t fit what I wanted... at least this early in the season ... one month from now, probably, as I will not want to eat tag soup... and I’ll want the venison...but maybe not lol

It's hard to keep up this year in this thread. Lots of good action. I can only imagine how much it's about to ramp up with the rut around the corner.

Just had 4 doe about 40 yards out. Any time I go in blind and have deer in range, that's a success to me.

I do regret grabbing the dry bag that did NOT have the jackets in it. It's slightly chilly in a tree without a jacket in 40 degree weather with a 13mph N wind.

5 does and 3 fawns out in front of me all keep looking into the woods and getting skiddish. Either a buck or a coyote, wish it would show itself 15396448479589154434327656554562.jpg

I sit here glad I missed him... to think I’d be on doe patrol for a month shooting a medium NY buck would probably have bugged me more... now 4 weeks from now if I haven’t punched that tag I’ll be saying I should killed him lol

Only one person has ever contracted the disease from a deer and that was from an open wound while field dressing the deer.

What I read about the subject
