We set up the blind yesterday afternoon. In the blind by 0550 this morning. Had two deer on the way in. One behind us at first light. At 0750 two doe came up the hill to our oak flat. James whispered that he saw two deer. I leaned around to the window and saw two doe out in front of the blind at 20 yds. We put the cross bow on the tripod trigger stick then it was all James!!! He took his time, waited for a broadside shot, found that sweet spot by following the front leg up to just behind the shoulder and I watched the shot go off. I heard that classic chest thud and knew James had made a good shot. We both went to the side window and watched her drop 70yds down the hill. The celebrations began!!!! Even though we knew where she was, James found his arrow, found first blood and tracked the blood all the way. Congrats to James!

When the wife gets two days off.....and wants to hike a 7 mile trail. After Saturday my body feels like monkey fecal matter.

I tried to act excited upon hearing about hiking up and down river front ravines.

After Sat, a 7 mile walk will be easy! Monkey fecal matter or not.

    a) Happy wife, happy life...
    b) Can it be a bow hike?
    c) Didn't you have a day to recover?
    d) "my body feels like monkey fecal matter." - funniest thing I've read today :)

Hey Brett, I followed along with you on the recovery and all the other day but I never heard the story about it. Like why did you set up there and etc. If you posted it somewhere else I missed it but I would like to hear the details.
